Serve at First Baptist Kingstowne
God has given every believer gifts, opportunities, and a place to serve for the good of others and the glory of God.
1 Peter 4:10
Why Serve?
Serving helps believers use their gifts, strengthen the church, and take part in the work God is doing through the local church.
Discover Your Gifts
Every believer has been given gifts and opportunities to serve. Part of growing as a Christian is learning how God has equipped you and where you can be useful in His work.
Serve One Another
Serving gives us a practical way to love, encourage, and help one another. The church is strengthened when each member faithfully contributes to the work of the ministry.
Glorify God
The goal of Christian service is not attention, applause, or personal recognition. We serve so that God is honored and others are helped.
Finding the Right Place to Serve
Serving can be a rewarding journey. Our desire is to help you think through your spiritual gifts, core strengths, availability, interests, experience, and preferences so you can connect with a ministry that is a good fit.
Not every person will serve in the same way, and not every ministry need fits every season of life. That is why we want to help you explore opportunities carefully and prayerfully.
You may observe a ministry, ask questions, talk with ministry leaders, and consider where you can serve faithfully and fruitfully.
A Note About Membership
Many service opportunities at First Baptist Church of Kingstowne have an expectation of church membership.
This helps protect the ministry, provide accountability, and ensure those serving are walking together with the doctrine, mission, and commitments of the church.
If you are not yet a member, we would still be glad to talk with you, answer questions, and help you understand the membership process.
You can learn more on our Membership page.
