Kingstowne Baptist Bible Institute
...equipping Christians with Bible-centered knowledge, experience, and support for next-level ministry in and through local churches...
We believe that the Lord’s churches are called to grow – first, through the discipling and training of believers for a lifetime of service, and then through the planting of new churches who can grow and reproduce themselves. Our vision is that the Kingstowne Baptist Bible Institute will be a quality training ground for Christians, enabling FBCK and sister churches to better do the work that has been placed before them.
HYBRID CLASSESWe believe in the power of personal contact – fostering collaboration, sparking creativity, and building a sense of community. On the other hand, we also understand the demands of modern life: “I have to work tonight,” “I live too far away,” or “I just can’t take a full load of classes now.” Most of our courses are taught using a hybrid model – on-site classes (with knowledgeable instructors) for those who can attend in person, along with virtual attendance options for those who can’t. We also have options for full-time, part-time, and "one-course-at-a-time" students. We want you to be successful no matter your situation. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. In addition, our Independent Studies program provides even more flexibility. In an Independent Studies course, you watch class sessions at home (using recordings of classes from previous academic years), complete assignments, and interact regularly with instructors, but you can work at your own pace and on your own schedule. |
MULTIPLE PROGRAMSWe believe that everyone in the church should be trained for service. Our pastoral track is designed for pastors, church planters, and others preparing for (or already in) pastoral roles. This track culminates in a Bachelor of Theology degree. Our Bible studies track is designed for Christian workers who want to learn more about the Bible, or who want to be more effective in their Christian ministry. This track culminates in a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree. Degree requirements are similar, except some courses are exclusive to students in the pastoral track. Students who take a full course load each semester can earn their Bachelor of Theology or Bachelor of Biblical Studies in four years or less. We also offer non-degree and auditing options for those that want to take courses but not work towards a degree. |
LOCAL CHURCH FOCUSWe believe that the heart of kingdom work is the local church. KBBI courses provide an academic framework for ministry based on the Scriptures, complemented with practical experiences in actual church settings. Class projects, mentoring relationships, and directed studies help you put what you learn to use in a local church or church plant. |
AFFORDABLEWe believe that cost should not be a deterrent to getting a quality Christian post-secondary education. Thanks to the generosity of FBCK and other churches and individuals, we are able to keep tuition costs low. Grants are also available. Try us for three weeks free! We'll defer payments and fees for the first three weeks. If you decide that KBBI is not for you, drop and you pay nothing. |
