The Gospel of Jesus Christ

Knowing God Personally

God is real. He loves you. And through Jesus Christ, you can know Him personally.

At First Baptist Church of Kingstowne, we believe God is real, He is good, and He loves you.

No matter who you are, where you come from, or what your circumstances may be, God knows you and cares about you. Life brings both joy and sorrow, blessings and burdens. God does not promise a life free from trouble, but He does promise that we do not have to face life alone.

The greatest need of every person is not simply to know about God, but to know Him personally through Jesus Christ.

You can know Him. You can experience the forgiveness, hope, and new life that only Jesus gives.

God Knows, Hears, and Loves You

The Bible teaches that God knows who you are, hears your cry, and has shown His love through Jesus Christ.

God Knows You

You are not hidden from Him.

Most of us want to be known. We want someone to understand who we are, what we are facing, what we hope for, and what we carry quietly in our hearts.

The Bible teaches that God knows you completely. He created you, He sees you, and He knows every detail of your life.

Psalm 139:1–3 “O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.”

God Hears You

He is never too busy to listen.

There are times when people may not listen, may not understand, or may not know how to help. But God is never distracted, never too busy, and never unaware of what you are facing.

You do not have to pretend with Him. You do not have to clean yourself up before coming to Him.

Psalm 116:1 “I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.”

God Loves You

His love was shown at the cross.

God not only knows you; He loves you. Because God is holy, He must deal with sin. Because God is loving, He made a way for sinners to be forgiven.

That way is Jesus Christ. He died on the cross for our sins and rose again from the grave.

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

God Is Ready to Forgive

The Bible teaches that every person has sinned and needs God’s forgiveness. Sin separates us from God, and we cannot save ourselves by being religious, doing good works, or trying harder.

The good news is that Jesus has already paid the price for our sin. God’s forgiveness is not earned. It is received by faith. You can turn from your sin, trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, and call upon Him today.

Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Salvation Is Found in Christ Alone

Salvation is not about joining a church, turning over a new leaf, or becoming a better version of yourself. Salvation is receiving the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the grave. He took the punishment we deserved so that we could be forgiven and brought into a right relationship with God.

1

God Loves You

God loves you and made a way for you to have everlasting life through His Son.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
2

You Have Sinned

Every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
3

Sin Has a Penalty

The penalty for sin is death, but God offers eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
4

Jesus Died for You

Jesus Christ died in your place so that you could be forgiven.

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
5

You Can Call on Christ

If you confess Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:9–10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

A Simple Prayer

A prayer does not save you by itself. Salvation comes when you turn to Christ in faith, trusting Him alone to forgive your sin and save your soul.

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I ask You to forgive me, save me, and make me Your child. I am trusting You alone as my Savior. Thank You for loving me and for giving me eternal life. Amen.

If you have trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, we would love to hear from you and help you take your next steps.

Growing in Your Relationship with God

When you know Christ, you begin a new life with Him. God wants you to grow in your faith and walk with Him each day.

Pray

Prayer is how we talk to God. We can thank Him, confess our sins, ask for help, and bring our burdens to Him.

Read God’s Word

The Bible is God’s Word. Through Scripture, we learn who God is, what He has done, and how He calls us to live.

Attend Church

God designed Christians to grow together in a local church. At church, we worship, learn, serve, pray, and encourage one another.

Tell Someone

If you have trusted Christ, tell someone. We would be honored to rejoice with you, pray with you, and help you understand what comes next.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Hebrews 10:24–25 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

God Is There for You

Life is full of change, uncertainty, and difficulty. People may come and go, circumstances may shift, and burdens may feel heavy. But God is faithful.

God offers forgiveness for your past, strength for today, and hope for eternity through Jesus Christ. You do not have to walk through life without Him.

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
