Missionaries to Ukraine, "Preaching, Planting, and Perfecting in the Slavic-Speaking World" Other ministries that the Lord is using in Ukraine is our camp ministries and orphanages. Our missionary, Derek Thomas, who lives in the Ukraine, coordinates these ministries, and we have seen “fruit, more fruit and remaining fruit” through these ministries. Scores and hundreds of young people have come to know the Lord. This is fertile ground and we are excited to see what God is doing through the ministry of Slavic Baptist Mission.

Chad and Cynthia Pape met in high school. They were both saved and baptized at Woodlawn Baptist Church, Bowie, Maryland; Chad in 1997 and Cynthia in 1996. Chad and Cynthia were married in 1998, and they have made serving the Lord the center of their lives. God has allowed them to be a part of many ministries both individually and as a couple. As their children came along, the family served the Lord wherever He led them. After serving in their home church for 14 years, the Pape family felt the Lord leading them to the Dominican Republic to plant a church. God used the Papes to plant a church that is still thriving today. Due to the health needs of their children, they returned to the States where God allowed Chad to pastor for five years. God is now calling Chad and Cynthia back to the Dominican Republic to return to the work of planting churches and training national leadership.

Since 2003 we have been serving in Eastern Europe among the Gypsies of Hungary and Romania. We have seen souls saved and baptized. We have also established the Eastern European Gypsy Baptist Institute to train nationals and a MANNA feeding center to feed poor hungry Gypsy children. I am currently president of Roma Outreach Missions Association, located at Bible Baptist church in Bradenton, FL. R.O.M.A. is an organization helping not only to reach the Gypsies of the world but also other misplaced and marginalized people.

Pastor Morales has faithfully served the Lord in various ministry roles, including Assistant Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Spanish Pastor. Though deeply committed to these ministries, God placed a strong burden on his heart to establish a gospel-preaching church in the city where he and Trina were raised. After much prayer and godly counsel, the Lord confirmed His will through Scripture: “Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.” — Mark 5:19 In 2021, Pedro and Trina returned to Baltimore, and on September 18, 2022, Baltimore Baptist Church was planted. They have a deep passion for loving and serving their community and firmly believe that the gospel that transformed their lives on November 27, 1993, still has the power to transform the lives of others today.

In October 1993, FBC Kingstowne started a church plant effort on the south side of Fredericksburg to meet the needs of the growing population there. Originally known as Kingstowne Baptist Mission, the plant was renamed Benchmark Baptist Fellowship in 1998. It purchased property in late 1999, and in 2005 finished construction of a new building. Brother Alan took over as missionary church planter at BBF in October 2016 and has served there since.
