What you can expect
If you are visiting First Baptist Church of Kingstowne for the first time, then you are our honored guest! We’d love for you to let us know you’re coming, so we can make sure to personally greet you when you arrive. We can’t wait to meet you!
When you arrive, you will be greeted at the door by our friendly church members. We promise to do our best to make your experience at church hassle-free. Our first time guests team will be available to greet you and help you get to the right place.
We have safe childcare service available at all services and will help you get your children registered for easy and safe child check-in. If you have children, you will want to arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time to get them to the right spot!
Our services lasts about an hour. You will experience a time of congregational singing, led by our song leader and choir. Every service we focus our attention on Bible preaching from our pastoral staff for around 20 to 40 minutes. We expect that God will use the service to affect your life in a positive way, and meet you right where you are!
Besides the main services, Do you have anything else that will help me in my walk with God?
Sunday morning Adult Bible Fellowships are a great tool to build your faith as well as to link you with other people your age who just might be dealing with the same things that you are. In addition to that, we offer a Wednesday night discipleship series in which you can be spiritually mentored by someone who has studied the Bible and walked with God.
The course is 20 lessons and covers just about everything that a new Christian needs. If you just can’t wait until the next service to hear good preaching from our pastor, our website contains multiple messages and resources to help and encourage you throughout the week.
What should I wear?
The most important thing is that you are here with us! Our church is made up of many generations that choose to dress in what is comfortable for them. No need to dress up, but if you want to…that’s ok too!
Is your church safe?
We work hard to maintain a safe environment that every person can worship freely in without fear. Our safety measures include uniformed officers, trained church safety team volunteers, medical volunteers, video camera systems, and intentional child safety policies.
Is your building handicap accessible?
90% of our building is handicap accessible and we are working on the rest! All the facilities we use for adult worship and regular activities are completely accessible. We also have plenty of handicap parking spaces near the doors. We also offer a valet parking service to anyone needing assistance. Please call ahead to let us know how we can best help you.
What is the music like?
Our services offer a blend of traditional and modern styles of worship music. We love to sing hymns and believe God has blessed the church with great new songs as well. If you want to catch a glimpse of our worship services, the best place to go is on our Facebook page. There, you can find past services and see for yourself what we are all about!
What denomination is your church?
First Baptist Church is not part of any denomination or larger organization of churches. We are an independent church which holds to the Baptist distinctives and fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith.
What Bible version do you use?
We use the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible for all of our teaching and preaching.
