We are pleased to announce that we now have two worship services on Sunday mornings.

Our Sunday morning schedule is:

10:00-10:45       Sunday School (all ages)

10:50-11:10       Kingstowne Connect (fellowship hall)

11:15-12:15       Mid-Day Worship Service and Children’s Church (ages 2 thru 4th grade)

Questions and answers about our new schedule

Why a new early-morning service?

People have a range of lifestyles and preferences, and an early morning start fits some of our members and guests better. In addition, a second service eases the parking and seating challenges that we are experiencing. By adding a second service, we can continue to grow, connect, and reach people in our community, consistent with our church’s vision.

Why change the starting time of the previous 11:00am service to 11:15?

The later start time allows for a smoother transition between our Sunday School hour and the Mid-Day service.

Does Daybreak have a different worship style than the Mid-Day worship service?

No, each service has the same worship style (although the actual hymns may sometimes differ), and on most Sundays, has the same sermon message presented by the Pastor.

Does the church offer child care for the Daybreak service?

For now, Noah’s Room is open for use by parents, but is not staffed. As the need arises (and volunteers are identified and trained), we will add staff.

Noah’s Room continues to be staffed during the Sunday School hour and during the Mid-Day worship service.

Does the Daybreak service have music specials and a choir?

For now, Daybreak features special music presentations, such as solos and groups. Over time, a full choir is planned.

What about Sunday School?

Our Sunday School program continues on Sunday mornings, and Daybreak worshippers are encouraged to stay for the Sunday School hour. To accommodate both services, our Sunday School time is 10:00-10:45. In the future, we may offer Sunday School classes at additional time slots. Also, don’t forget about our Bible studies on Sunday evenings.

What about Children’s Church?

For now, we do not have a separate service for children during the Daybreak hour. As the need arises (and volunteers are identified and trained), we may add this ministry. We continue to have a Children’s Church service during the Mid-Day worship hour.

What about the break between Sunday School and the Mid-Day service?

We invite everyone to join us for “Kingstowne Connection” from 10:50 to 11:10, an informal time of socializing and friendship-building in the fellowship hall. The coffee pot will be on! We will also have activities for the kids, such as singing and puppet shows, to serve as a bridge to our Children’s Church service starting at 11:15.

In addition, there will be opportunities during the break for prayer and reflection in the sanctuary.

Can I attend either service? If I regularly attend Daybreak, can I attend the Mid-Day service when I want (or the other way around)?

Yes, feel free to attend either Daybreak or the Mid-Day service. The two services are not intended as separate churches, but as complementary ministries within our church.
