It seems natural that Danny White would be a missionary. He is the son of John White, long-time missionary who planted numerous churches both in the US and Australia. Danny was born and raised in Australia, but when the Lord pricked his heart to do missions work himself, that wasn’t the destination. Instead, he was headed to the Republic of Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean.

Vanuatu is composed of 82 islands about 1,000 miles east of northern Australia. The Whites arrived there in 2002, joining missionaries David and Marilyn Bennett, who had been in Vanuatu since 1992. They are based on the island of Tanna, ministering in 30-some villages throughout the island, but they also work in the capital city of Port-Vila and on several other islands. Their latest focus has been on the construction of a church school building in the village of Imanaka on Tanna, with completion expected in January.
