"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)
Our adult groups are the centerpiece of FBC Kingstowne. These groups provide education, encouragement, support, and fellowship opportunities. Bonds develop and friendships run deep as members share common experiences, celebrate shared victories, and work towards the same goals. Classroom settings include Sunday School classes (10:00 on Sunday mornings) and adult Bible studies (5:45 on Sunday evenings). We also have a number of fellowship groups that meet regularly, as well as frequent special events, outings, and activities. At FBCK, we have a place for you!
Our "main" adult Sunday School class, featuring systematic, in-depth examination of scripture passages and practical applications to our daily lives. The curriculum rotates to cover the entire Bible in ten years, so students gain a thorough understanding of God's Word. FBCK TTB is a must for the growing Christian. Class meets at 10:00 on Sunday mornings in the sanctuary.
Ambassadors is our adult Sunday School class that focuses on Bible basics. If you want to learn more about the Bible and its foundation teachings, and explore how those teachings can be put into practice in your life, this is the class for you. Ambassadors meet in the north end of the fellowship hall at 10:00 Sunday mornings.
Homebuilders is our small group Sunday School class for young married couples and singles with small children. Lessons focus on the practical applications of Biblical principles in relationships, marriage, family life, finances, and careers. Class meets at 10:00 on Sunday mornings, in the south end of the fellowship hall. Homebuilders members also get together frequently at other times for fellowship and activities.
Sunday evenings feature our adult Bible study classes. The evening starts at 5:45 (6:00 in the summer months) with a common session of singing, praise, and shared prayer, and then breaks into smaller study groups. Studies revolve around relevant topics - recent series included current events, church history, how we got the Bible, and end-time prophecies. Classes change, so call the church office for current offerings. Join us this week for our Sunday evening Bible studies!
Not just tea and cookies! Our Women's Ministry takes on service projects, such as assisting at a shelter for battered women, designing "welcome gifts" for worship service visitors, corresponding with missionary wives, and decorating the church for Christmas. But there is also fun time, including outings (such as trips to the "Sight and Sound" theater in Lancaster, PA), showers, and holiday parties. Our Women's Ministry also sponsors a Bible study on the first Saturday of every month, 8am in the fellowship hall. Come be a part of something special!
Our men meet at 8:00 am on the first Saturday of every month for breakfast and shared prayer, followed by an in-depth Bible study. All men are invited - come join us!
