Missions

We love helping missionaries.  We usually have a missionary visit us at least once a month, sharing with our congregation the vision that God has given him.  Along with missionaries who visit, we also give a large portion of our budget to the support of missions.  This money is used in several ways:

 

First, we are the "parent" church of two mission points, Benchmark Baptist Fellowship of Fredricksburg VA, and Kingstowne Baptist Korean Mission of Alexandria, VA.  We think of these missions as our "Jerusalem" of the bulls eye model of mission work found in Acts 1:8.

 

Second, we support four other mission points: Stonebridge Baptist Church of Morgantown WV, First Baptist Church of Littlestown PA, Jeffrey Allison of the Czech Republic, and Ukrainian Hope Missions.  Our support is combined with that of other churches from across the country, allowing us to do more together than what we could do alone.  We believe these missions to be our "Judaea" and "Samaria" from Acts 1:8 of the bulls eye model.  

 

Third, we send money to a group effort in Texarkana AR, known as the American Baptist Association (ABA).  From here, mission points all over the world will receive money from us, allowing us to be a part of God's plan that is far beyond our small circle here at home.  In this way, we have become Christ's witnesses "unto the uttermost part of the earth".
